Our Kopy Kit® books are unique because they come with a license that permits the individual or corporate buyer (the license holder) to copy and distribute pages in a classroom, to co-workers in one location, or in a wide variety of publications and situations — so long as the license holder retains control of the distribution of the copies.
For users who want to distribute Kopy Kit pages from multiple locations or to post Kopy Kit pages on a website, which is not permitted under the basic license, Parlay offers upgrade licenses.
Basic License Agreement (LA)
What It Gives You
The basic LA allows the license holder to make copies of KOPY KIT pages at one location (site) only. From that one location copies of pages can be handed out, mailed, offered it on "take-one" tables and emailed as attachments. The basic license agreement does not distribution of any kind from any other site or posting on an Intranet or website.
What It Costs
The Basic LA is included in the price of all the Kopy Kit packages we sell.

Intranet/Web Site Posting License Agreement (PLA)
What It Gives You
We understand that new technology offers our customers new ways of communicating with their audiences (staff, customers, patients or other). We offer what many publishers do not. The Intranet/Web Site PLA allows license holders to post Kopy Kit pages on a company intranet or on your web site.
This PLA covers posting pages on a network that is accessible to users outside of your physical location and is ideal for company Intranets, electronic newsletters, adding health and wellness tips to a healthcare or community service site, etc.
Keep in mind that this lets the viewers read the material on your site and print out one copy for easier reading, but if you want network users to be able to make multiple copies and/or redistribute the information to an off-site location, you need a Multi-Site License Agreement.
What It Costs
Licenses for posting Kopy Kit pages on an Intranet or Internet website fall into three categories:
| Subscriber: | Open to members only. May or may not charge a fee for access. |
| Closed: | Open to employees, partners or other business affiliations. Typically defined as an Intranet or Extranet site. |
| Open: | Accessible by anyone with Internet access, worldwide. |

Multi-Site License Agreement (MSL)
What It Gives You
An MSL gives users all of the rights of a basic LA at multiple physical locations (sites), allowing Kopy Kit pages to be used at different geographic locations. It extends the same basic reproduction rights to the physical locations you list.
This is ideal when you have satellite locations. You can send them a handout or newsletter master and they can copy it for their audience. Or they can make their own selection from the kit based on their audience's specific needs.
If you also buy PLA explained above, staff at other locations can pull pages off the Intranet and copy and distribute the sheets for training and education purposes.
What It Costs
The cost of a multi-site license agreement is determined by the number of sites that want to distribute the material. In addition, some sites may choose to purchase their own paper or electronic version of the book. Contact a Parlay customer service representative for MSL estimates.
